My name is Julius and this is my first attempt at a digital garden, a space that encourages slow, intentional consumption. It’s a growing collection of connected notes exploring this main question:

Can the multi-linear nature of digital gardening offer a meaningful alternative to algorithmic feeds, and reinstate agency in an era of passive consumption?

Over the past decade, algorithmic consumption has changed the way we encounter information online. I wanted to start nurturing my own garden, as I was curious how it would affect my thought process, writing and how I share online…

With feeds becoming a primary source of information for a growing majority, how has this changed the way we use the internet and why?
